Annabel Poate-Joyner is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. Over her exciting and challenging post-qualification career of over 25 years to date, Annabel has worked across Adult Mental Health, Learning Disability Services, and Occupational Health services, working with individuals, couples and families, and within teams and organisations.

Annabel has worked in the NHS in many forms of community teams such as CMHTs and IAPT services, and in GP practices. Annabel started her private practice in London in 1992 and has always derived great satisfaction in her engagement with direct work with clients, couples and families. Her private practice is based on the south-coast with consulting rooms in Ringwood, Wimborne, Emsworth and Chichester.

Annabel works with a hand-picked team of clinical associates, consultant clinical psychologists and psychiatrists, EMDR therapists, and mental health professionals offering NICE approved therapies for the full-range of common mental health issues such as depression, anxiety disorders, bereavement and loss, adjustment disorders, and offers a wide range of psychological psychotherapeutic interventions using a CBT framework, IPT and integrative psychotherapeutic approaches,

Annabel is a Specialist Professional Advisor for Care Quality Commission (CQC), Founder of the Association of Psychologists on Boards (APOB) and a Trustee of Care of Police Survivors charity (COPS). She has also published several articles in Jane's Police Review, Your Witness publications and with the Inclusive Boards charity.

Annabel Poate-Joyner is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Professions Council, and holds full Professional Liability Insurance.
